We find him sitting at the bar, sipping on a glass of amber liquid. He smiles when we each take a seat next to him.

“I’m sorry,” I tell him.

“For what? You did nothing wrong.”

“I feel like I abandoned your guidance.”

“You did no such thing. You let go of your inner restraints and released your desires. It’s one of the things that fuels love, Tasia. Desire feeds the flame of your heart and it’s obvious the two of you have a flame that runs deep. I felt the love between you. It projected out with every touch.”

His head falls into his hands and I know he’s thinking of Felecia.

“Hudson,” I cover his hand with mine. “I’m sorry. I feel like my presence is making things harder for you.”

“No, if anything you give me comfort. It’s nice to be around someone who loves Felecia as much as I do. I’ve been alone with this, having no one to share my sorrow and pain. Yes, everyone here loved and adored her, but it’s not the same. Felecia held my heart and took it with her when she died.

This man needs closure as much as I do. I vow to get it for him… for us and there’s only one person I know we’ll get it from.
